The TANGO project seeks to understand the orogen-parallel variations in the evolution of crustal thickening/shortening within the Andes mountain range using geologic, petrologic, seismic, and modeling approaches. In collaboration with several researchers, the seismic component of this project involved the deployment of a dense nodal array (~2-3 km station spacing) from the coast of Chile to the foreland in Argentina within a broader network of broadband stations that recorded continuously from June 2022 to April 2024.
