This inaugural gathering of scholars and practitioners in the Environmental Humanities from the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and beyond served as an inventory of the work pursued in History, Languages and Literature, Philosophy, the social sciences, the arts, and the interdisciplinary studies that address the state of our global and local environment. This gathering was held at Tumamoc Hill in Tucson, a site famous for its cultural significance, scientific importance, and natural beauty.
