Yi-Wei Chen’s manuscript entitled “Lesser Antilles slab reconstruction reveals lateral slab transport under the Caribbean since 50 Ma” was accepted for publication in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters (EPSL). Co-authors are Jonny Wu (University of Arizona) and Saskia Goes (Imperial College London). Congrats Yi-Wei!
The paper presents a slab-based Caribbean plate reconstruction and quantifies significant lateral slab movement in the mantle after subduction.
