1. What is the Tucson Math Circle?
The Tucson Math Circle is a program designed to enhance mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills among advanced middle and high school students. We offer free weekly sessions where students engage with a variety of mathematical topics, participate in discussions, and solve interesting problems in a collaborative environment.
2. Who can participate in the Math Circle?
We welcome all advanced middle school and high school students who have a passion for mathematics. While we focus on advanced topics, a strong foundation in math is not a prerequisite. What matters most is an enthusiasm for learning and exploring new concepts!
3. Are there any fees to join?
No, participation in the Tucson Math Circle is completely free. We believe that access to quality mathematical education should be available to all students. The only requirement is that students complete our weekly RSVP survey to help us prepare for each session.
4. How do I join the Math Circle?
To join, simply submit our RSVP survey. After that, just show up at the next session! We look forward to seeing you!
5. What topics are covered in the sessions?
Our sessions cover a wide range of mathematical topics, including but not limited to combinatorics, number theory, geometry, and algebra. Each session is designed to challenge students while providing a supportive learning environment. We aim to foster both critical thinking and creativity in mathematics.

We encourage parents and guardians to support their children’s participation by fostering an interest in math at home and encouraging them to share their experiences from the Math Circle.
