Lab News April 2016

Jen Noble, a graduate student in the Palanivelu lab, the University of Arizona, won the Willemse Award

(certificate + $300) at the recently concluded Plant Reproduction 2016 conference. The award is given by

International Association of Sexual Plant Reproduction (IASPRR) for the best poster presentation in the

biannual conference.

The award was presented by Dr. Tetsuya Higashiyama, President of IASPRR, on 3/22/16 during the Plant

Reproduction 2016 dinner banquet in the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.

Along with Jen, Hidenori Takeuchi of the Higashiyama lab also won the Willemse Awardfor best poster

presentation. The poster competition was open to all graduate students and post doctoral fellows who

attended the conference.
