Drs. Korankye and Pearson are honored to serve as Guest Editors for a Special Issue entitled “Global Perspectives on Student Loan Debt Issues and Risks” in the Journal of Risk and Financial Management. Dr. Thomas Korankye has been elected to serve as a Board Member of the Academy of Financial Services, with his term beginning in January 2024. Additionally, he has been appointed as the Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations.
Dr. Korankye was honored to participate in a panel discussion on the topic “Effects of Student Loan Debt: Pre-Retirees and Retirees,” at the 2024 DCIIA Academic Forum in New York on November 13, 2024. The other panel members were Paul Kovarsky (Candidly) and Carl Gagnon (Prev. Unum).
Dr. Thomas Korankye was honored to present his research titled “The Effect of Financial Education on College Savings Behavior in U.S. Households,” at the Cherry Blossom Financial Education Institute. This event was hosted by the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, United States, on April 25 and 26, 2024.
