BIO5 Institute’s KEYS (Keep Engaging Youth in Science) Research Internship Program

A unique summer opportunity for motivated Arizona high school students with a strong interest in bioscience, engineering, environmental health, or biostatistics to work side-by-side with top faculty in University of Arizona laboratories. Every summer the Brown lab mentors students in the KEYS program.

Optics Research Experience for Teachers In Native American Schools (O-RETINAS) RET

The Optics Research Experience for Teachers In Native American Schools (O-RETINAS) Research Experience for Teachers (RET) program is designed for educators of Native American students. This includes teachers on reservation schools as well as teachers with a majority classroom population of Native American students. The program takes place at the University of Arizona campus in Tucson, AZ.

Brown Lab is happy to have techers from Native American Schools and provide them with on hands experienvce in laboratory skills. 

In 2020 a teacher from Navajo Nations joined us via zoom for our online sessions (Due to COVID19 pandemic the sessions were conducted via online)(Due to COVID19 pandemic the sessions were conducted via online).
